Welcome,
This site follows my journey to places marked by war and genocide, exploring the uncomfortable truths behind these historical events and the immense human suffering they caused. Yet, alongside the tragedy, I also seek to honor the resilience and courage of those devoted to truth and reconciliation.
Here you’ll find photographs, personal reflections, and brief insights from each location, as well as stories from the cultural sites and local experiences I encountered along the way. I have been deeply moved by the warmth and generosity of the people I met, and their profound gratitude toward those willing to bear witness to their suffering.
Because these stories deal with profound trauma, some of the content and imagery here is disturbing. However, my ultimate hope is that this space encourages reflection, understanding, and a deeper appreciation for our shared humanity.
Amahoro,
Terry ~
